National Rural Health Mission was conceived mainly to provide effective health care to the rural population, especially the disadvantaged groups including women and children, by improving access, enabling community ownership and demand for services, strengthening public health systems for efficient service delivery, enhancing equity and accountability and promoting decentralization. National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM)

Department of Rural Development is implementing this project through Mahalir Thittam project run by Government of Tamil Nadu mainly to empower the women economically and job seekers can utilize our site for government jobs in Tamilnadu. This project has core activities like promoting SHGs, imparting training to women, creating bank linkages, assisting the women aware of latest Government schemes and availing them, assisting for getting bank loans to involve in IGP activities etc. Swachh Bharat activities, creating ODF villages, plastic awareness, assisting in getting home for the homeless are also done.  AMK has appointed 45 Community Organizers and 18 Data entry Operators for NULM Project in Kanyakumari District.

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD)

A non-communicable disease (NCD) is a medical condition or disease that is not caused by infectious agents. It can refer to chronic diseases which last the for long periods of time and progress slowly. Sometimes, NCDs result in rapid deaths also. Diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases, cancer, leukaemia etc are some the examples of non – communicable diseases.  Collecting statistics regarding affected persons, treatment facilities available, the intensity of the diseases, etc is done by the data collectors and reported to the government through the health department. AMK Manpower suppliers in chennai  and Tamilnadu provided Data Entry Operators for this project.

Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) Scheme
